touristy things

This weekend my aunt & uncle were visiting, and I had the privilege of showing them around town and doing all the local touristy stuff. Well, much of it, anyway! I took lots of photos, but here are just a few to whet your appetite for more:

Bison on Antelope Island

Holding the Olympic Torch at the Utah Olympic Park

The rest of the Antelope Island photos, along with some from Temple Square
The rest of the Utah Olympic Park photos

I have to ask the most stupid of questions....Salt Lake City...is that Bonniville salt lake flats where they have the speed racing??? I may have asked you this before??? lol

Nyle - I loved the bison too, and haven't seen them that close before, so this was a treat. The Bonneville salt flats where they have the fast races are indeed just west of Salt Lake City. It's about 1.5 hr drive to get there, and each year they race out there at insanely fast speeds. It's really really flat and there is nothing out there - it's the old lake bed of Lake Bonneville (15000 yr ago), which has since shrunk to be the Great Salt Lake.
