My friend Sarah posted about malaria about a month ago. According to UNICEF, over 1 million people die each year from malaria; most are children in Africa.
Only $10 can save a life - it will buy a mosquito net for a child. Compassion International distributes mosquito nets and educates people on how to use them.
After reading Sarah's post and an article in Compassion's magazine, I decided I had to donate at least a little bit to help out. I'm writing this so you might consider it too. Money is tight, but $10 to save a life doesn't seem a like a lot.
