recipe of the day

From my Joy Fit Club buddy Tina Morris (inducted earlier this year).

Warm Chunky Apple Pie

8-10 large apples (Granny Smith/Gala)
¾ cup Splenda (not the packets)
½ cup water
1 Tbsp. cinnamon


Peel and core apples, cut into chunks.

Put apples into crockpot. Add Splenda, water, and cinnamon, mix well.

Cook on low 4-5 hours


1 cup = 1 pt.

DELICIOUS on top of 1/2 c of Dreyer's slow churned vanilla bean, no sugar added ice cream, for 1 more point.

well, it's not really like apple pie, more like an apple topping. It's really good though!
