No way! I played clarinet from 4th grade to 12th grade. I managed to not do marching band - instead I was in a community orchestra in Half Moon Bay. Do you still play?
Yup, I do still play. I played in college (both times ---- 1987-1991 when I was a molecular biology major, and 1996-1999 when I did my music major in piano performance). I haven't played in maybe 6 months but I should dust the thing off and play for church sometime. I do classical, mostly, though, so it might be tricky to play w/the band.
